Get started
Getting started
Create your organization, set it up in three steps, connect your first provider, and invite your team.
Create your organization
- Open the dashboard and choose Get started, then fill in Create your organization and choose Create organization.
- Enter your name, your work email, a password of at least 12 characters, and your organization's name.
- Open the confirmation email and choose Confirm and continue. The link is valid for 24 hours and works once.
Sign up with a work address. Personal mailbox providers such as Gmail or Outlook.com are not accepted, because your company domain is how colleagues find your organization.
When your company already uses CostReveal
If someone at your company has already created an organization with the same email domain, signing up sends them a join request instead of creating a second organization. An owner or admin approves it from Settings, Team and roles, Join requests, and chooses your role.
Set up in three steps
After you confirm your email, setup walks you through three steps. Each can be changed later.
- Name your first project. A project is a product, a division or an environment, with its own connections and figures. Choose its display currency too: amounts are shown in it, and always stored in the currency the provider billed. Rename it or change its currency later in Settings, Projects.
- What do you run on? Choose every provider you pay for. CostReveal suggests those connectors first.
- Connect your first provider. Each provider says what access it needs before asking for it, and CostReveal only ever reads with it. Choose Connect later to skip, and connect from Connections any time.
After your first connection
CostReveal checks the access before saving anything, then reads the provider's figures and explains them. Home fills in as soon as the first figures are complete, with a short tour of what each part means. How fresh the figures are depends on the provider, and Home says so under each one.
From there, Home shows how much spend is explained, and the one change that would explain the most of the rest.
Invite your team
- Go to Settings, Team and roles and choose Invite member.
- Enter their email, choose a role, and select the projects they should see.
- They receive an email with a link that works for 7 days.
Invitations count toward your plan's seat limit until they are accepted or revoked.
